APRIL 2009 NEWSLETTER FROM SANTOS TRADING

Many of you will have received or will soon receive your tax bonus payment
as part of the Federal Government's stimulus package. This payment is
designed to reduce the impact of the global recession on the Australian
economy, hopefully limiting job losses.

The most effective way to spend this payment to stimulate the Australian
economy is to buy Australian produce and products from businesses that are
Australian owned wherever possible. Go to farmer's markets, shop locally
and then buy from companies like ours. Santos is a local community owned
enterprise with over 150 shareholders. We buy Australian produce and
products whenever possible. Santos Trading operates 3 retail outlets in the
shire that employ about 50 local people.

Search out other Australian owned businesses to support and if you need to
purchase non-Australian products then choose Fair Trade and organic
certified ones and know that your money is really going where it needs to.
