Happy 21st Birthday National Toxics Network!
We couldn’t do it without you!
Are you familiar with the work of the National Toxics Network? NTN is a
fabulous network of people and organisations from across Australia, NZ and
Pacific Islands working hard to ensure a toxic free future for all. Their
head office is based in the Northern Rivers, NSW.
For 21 years NTN has worked on research and campaigns involving CSG, nanotechnology, genetic engineering, industrial waste, chemicals in products like BPA Bisphenol A and chemical pesticide spray drift just to name a few!
The work of NTN has played such a big role in our own product research at Santos Organics. From the natural sunscreens that have been plagued by nanotechnology (link to previous article) to our attempts to source BPA free cans (link to BPA article) we really couldn’t do it without NTN!
Although Santos Organics works hard to ensure the products we stock are as natural as possible there are so many chemicals that we are all exposed to everyday. NTN helps to reduce the presence of toxic chemicals in our environment and bodies by lobbying governments for systemic change in chemical regulations, doing the hard yards on boring committees and publishing technical reports to help c and engaging communities more effectively engage with issues.
If you love the work of NTN as much as we do, please donate to NTN at http://www.givenow.com.au/ntn
Happy 21st Birthday NTN!!!
Love your fans at Santos Organics xx

If you live next to a non-organic farm we highly recommend reading “Getting the Drift,” a publication by NTN and the Environmental Defenders Office on chemical spray drift http://www.ntn.org.au/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/GETTING_THE_DRIFT_email.pdf
NTN has also published the facts on the toxic side of unconventional gas mining (http://www.ntn.org.au/wp/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/UCgas_report-April-2013.pdf). As supporters of the campaign against unconventional gas mining in the Northern Rivers Santos Organics is so grateful for this work that has helped with the scientific argument against the pollution of our local farmland.
