The Changing Face of Santos

We began in the Jonson St store in Byron Bay at the end of last year and are now putting the finishing touches at this location. 

We have a fresh, easy to navigate layout that now has most bulk food items in easy to use chutes, a brand new Fruit and Veg display and a new Naturopathic area for all your natural medicine needs. We have had a lots of great feedback in Byron with customers saying it has made it much easier to find what they are looking, a better range of products and more open spaces to mingle and enjoy a relaxed shopping experience. We started in late 2013 with the Byron Juice Bar with a new front-of-house sit down area to enjoy your favourite juice or smoothie, organic coffee, chai latte, dandy or delicious organic lunch, snack or sweet treat.  By the middle of 2015 we will have extended the back courtyard, already a popular place to sit and eat lunch, with new seats, trees and shrubbery to complement the existing space.

Renovations are now in full swing in Mullumbimby with a complete facelift of the current store. The size of the shop is being increased by converting the old office into retail floor space.  We are looking to increase the functionality of the space and product range whilst still maintaining that special character of the Mullum shop where people come to meet and share the latest local goss.  

The Juice Bar in Mullum is also in line for a revamp as part of this process and we are pleased to announce that the organic espresso coffee enjoyed in our other locations will soon be available in Mullum! We are looking to cater to the widest variety of customers with all options for your latte on the table, including rice, oat, almond and soy milks.

At our warehouse in the Byron Industrial estate, new openings are happening – literally, as last week the main side wall was opened up creating a much larger serving area for the growing crowd of regulars who love to visit for fresh juices, smoothies, coffees, lunch and treats! 

Renovations are a big commitment of time, money and energy. Managing the operations of three shops undergoing this renovation process while still being open for business has been a challenge – one that wouldn’t have been possible without the openness and willingness of our wonderful staff members and managers who have been working hard to keep things flowing despite these changes. While the process is intensive, the end result will be so worth it, as evidenced by our feedback in Byron. Seeing our shops open up, expand and become more functional for a smooth shopping experience is what this project has been all about.
