Organic Cayenne Pepper

The cayenne pepper is a hot red chilli pepper named after the French city of Cayenne. The fruits
are ground and baked, then sifted to make the powdered spice. Very hot indeed!
Cayenne pepper is a popular spice that is a key ingredient in many hot sauces, particularly those
that use vinegar as a preservative. It adds a kick to many dishes!
Cayenne pepper has high medicinal value, but should be used with caution and mostly under the
instructions of a Herbalist as it is VERY strong and heating. It's specific used to treat
circulatory and digestive ailments and conditions. Some of it's medicinal uses include it's action
on regulating blood flow, strengthens the heart, arteries, capillaries and nerves. When used in
cooking, it still has these medcicinal properties. Cayenne pepper is a great spice to use when
treating the common cold. It can be used as a tea (1/2 a teaspoon over boiling water) or in soups
and broths.
