Pepita (Pumpkin Seed) Oil
Country of Origin: Australia
Pumpkin Seed oil has been produced and utilised in Styria since the 18th century. The oil is most
often used as a salad dressing or a dessert topping, since using it as a cooking oil destroys its
essential fatty acids. On vanilla ice cream it produces an "exquisite nutty taste".
There is scientific evidence showing that the oil is beneficial for the treatment of enlarged
prostate in men.
Pumpkin seed oil contains roughly 40% Omega-6 fatty acid and 41% monounsaturated fat.
