Wakame Country of Origin: Australia - Tasmaina Wakame is a variety of kelp and looks and tastes similar to spinach lasagne. It is used in the same ways as Kombu. All seaweeds are rich sources of protein, calcium, iodine, magnesium, iron and folate. The kelp varieties also contain high levels of lignans, which are a type of antioxidant.
