Bee Pollen is gathered from pollen laden bees with a special device placed at the entrance of the
hive designed to brush the pollen from their hind legs.
Bee Pollen is very rich in vitamins and contains minerals, trace elements, enzymes, anti-oxidants
and amino acids. It contains the essence of every plant from which bees collect pollen.
Bee pollen is a popular nutritional supplement that assists in general immune system function, may
reduce allergies due to it's histamine content (however see caution note below), is alkalizing
to the body, an aphrodisiac and provides stength, indurance and energy.
It contains protein (said to be complete, meaning it contains all essential amino acids),
carbohydrate, fatty acids, minerals and vitamins. It is high in B vitamins (except B12) and other
vitamins such as A, C, D, and E. It also contains lecithin/choline, beta-carotene, histamine and
rutin.
For medicinal uses, it is recommended for children aged 5 years to adults - take 1 tablespoon daily
or more.
CAUTION: It is recommended to start off with 1/4 of a teaspoon and work your way up if you
suspect any allergic reaction to bee products or gastrointestinal upsets.
