Maca is a root vegetable that resembles a radish or turnip. Maca has been growing in the Peruvian
Andes for over 2600 years. It is known as the aphrodisiac of the Andes and and the Incan Empire
distributed maca to it's warriors before battle. These days, maca still only grows in the
Peruvian Andes at 3000-4300 meters above sea level, making in the highest altitude crop in the
world.
It is a whole food that contains:

iodine, copper, selenium and silicon
